When you purchase a Jetpack plan, the VaultPress and Akismet plugins should automatically be installed and set up for you as part of the connection process. When this doesn’t work correctly, one or both of them will need to be installed manually.
Installing VaultPress
- Go to Plugins → Add New.

- Search for VaultPress.

- Click Install and then Activate.

- Go to Jetpack → VaultPress and enter your VaultPress API key.

- You can find your API key on the plan receipt in the Backups and security scanning API key box here: https://wordpress.com/me/purchases/

- Click Register. VaultPress will connect to our servers and immediately start your first backup.
Installing Akismet
- Go to Plugins → Add New.

- Search for Akismet.

- Click Install and then Activate.

- Go to Jetpack → Akismet Anti-spam and enter your Akismet API key.

- You can find your API key on the plan receipt in the Anti-spam API key box here: https://wordpress.com/me/purchases/

- Click Connect with API Key. Akismet will be connected on your site and immediately start protecting your site from spam comments.
