The Image widget allows you to easily add images to widget areas in your theme. It’s an easy way to add some visual interest to your site.
To set it up:
- Go to Appearance > Widgets in your WordPress Dashboard.
- Drag the “Image (Jetpack)” widget in to one of your active sidebars.
- Add the URL of the image and other information you’d like.
Note: For the image to load properly you need to make sure the URL is to only an image. This typically means it ends in .jpg or .png.
