Do you use the MOJO Marketplace plugin on your site, and ran into some issues when updating from Jetpack 3.8.2 to Jetpack 3.9?
The error you experienced when updating Jetpack was caused by this conflict. To get things fixed on your site, start by deleting the Jetpack folder from your WordPress installation:
- Log in to your site via FTP or CPanel
- Delete the existing Jetpack plugin folder. You’ll find the folder here:

jetpack - DELETE THIS FOLDER
If you’re not sure how to do this, you can ask your hosting company for help. They should also have documentation explaining how to edit or remove files from your site using FTP or a File Manager in your admin panel.
Once you’re back into your site, you’ll have 3 alternatives:
- Do you use the features included in MOJO? If so, you’ll want to install this patched version of Jetpack via Plugins > Add New > Upload, until we release a new update including the patch.
- Do you feel comfortable editing code? You can apply the fix outlined here to your installation of Jetpack.
- If you don’t use the features of the MOJO Marketplace plugin, you can deactivate it and you’ll be able to reactivate Jetpack.
