You can embed a Jetpack VideoPress video on websites outside your own by using an embed code. You can even embed videos on non-WordPress sites!
Find the VideoPress embed code
To embed a Jetpack VideoPress video externally, you must use an embed code rather than a shortcode.
You can find this HTML embed code for a Jetpack VideoPress video by clicking on the share icon in the VideoPress player.
- Click the share arrow in the top right corner of the VideoPress player.
- A pop-up will appear over the video with various sharing options.
- Copy the iframe HTML in the Embed (HTML) field.

Video Privacy settings in the full-featured Jetpack plugin
To share, embed, or link a VideoPress video on another website, its privacy setting must be set to Public.
If you have installed the full-featured Jetpack plugin, all uploaded videos are private by default. Private videos can be played on the website where they were uploaded.
To enable global video embedding, you must disable the Video Privacy setting at Jetpack → Settings → Performance in WP Admin. The video privacy settings are under the Media section on this page.

- Navigate to the Media page in WP Admin.
- Click on the video for which you want to change the privacy setting.
- Select Edit Video details, or select Public from the dropdown next to Privacy Setting in the video edit popup.
